MD&E CERTIFIED AS A WOMAN BUSINESS ENTERPRISE
Norcross, Georgia, July 8, 2010 -
MD&E, a data and customer relationship management company, has been certified as a Woman Business Enterprise – a business owned and controlled by a woman -- by the National Women Business Owners Corporation (NWBOC), providing it an increased ability to compete for contracts on a national level.
“This certification gives us the opportunity to develop new relationships for the exploration of prime contractor and public sector bids,” says Eleanor Morgan, MD&E’s President/CEO.
“NWBOC seeks to increase the ability of women business owners to compete for corporate and government contracts,” says Janice Harris-Lange, president of NWBOC. “At the same time, NWBOC also hopes to decrease the number of front operations participating in corporate and government outreach programs.”
NWBOC, a national 501 (c) (3) not-for-profit corporation, was created in response to needs identified by the Procurement Special Interests Group of the National Association of Women Business Owners, whose study had revealed that the public and private sectors had neither received nor recognized the benefits of contracting with women suppliers. This has often kept purchasers from obtaining the best value in their procurements and limited women business owners in penetrating these markets, thereby hindering the growth of their companies. NWBOC seeks to both provide more corporations the opportunity to improve their procurement practices and women suppliers the opportunity to compete.
MD&E is a rapidly growing, 18-year old Georgia corporation that helps its clients manage their information systems for better customer satisfaction experiences. Its headquarters is in Norcross and it has 60 employees. Recently, it announced the launch of its Clarity brand, which focuses on data management services in government and the healthcare and other industries.

ELEANOR MORGAN - PEOPLE TO KNOW IN 2008
Gwinnett Magazine
April, 2008. Eleanor Morgan has worked with husband, Charles, to build MD&E during the past 15 years. MD&E has a team of seventy-five professionals delivering business IT support. Morgan has the responsibility of being president and CEO of MD&E and has obtained certification for the company as a woman-owned business.
How I did it: Treating both employees and customers with respect and integrity. Lots of hard work and extreme motivation to work through issues, while helping your team grow and become successful in new experiences.
My best advice: Believe in yourself. Use the gifts God has given you to your best ability with His guidance. Build a support team of individuals who are great when they work as a team. Have fun while doing this and never stop learning.
My idea of fun: I love to play cards, spend time at Lake Hartwell and sit on the beach at Perdido Key – watching the sunset in the evenings and the dolphins in the morning. My favorite times are just being with my five grandchildren and watching how they grow.
What I dream of: Having time to write my book. I hope the story will inspire my grandchildren to know where they came from and how special life is. Investing in others has always been rewarding to me, and I look forward to doing more of this.
What's next for me: As CEO of MD&E, I will be working to successfully grow our business into the future. With my downtime, I will be helping my husband, Charles, to build his dream – Morgan Stables in Hartwell , Ga. and a teahouse with daughter, Angela.
